Senator Barack Obama appeared to cruise to a lopsided victory in the South Carolina primary, the first Southern contest of the presidential campaign had Obama clearly ahead of the pack.
A sign that the Clinton's race based politics didnt work. I guess they figured if it was dirty the scary white women would all run to vote for Senator Clinton wrong! This worked in the 70's for support for the war on drugs.It looks as the plan back fired as the youth vote carried Obama.
The Clinton's hoped a mixing of words would distract the voters from the real issues. If they managed to anger the majority of the white voters Obama wouldnt have a chance. But people didnt listen to the hype and he recieved a mix bag of support.
